Research progress on rapid diagnosis of animal brucellosis

Abstract:Brucellosis is a serious zoonosis which is widely prevalent in the world. Recently, the morbidity of human and animal brucellosis has threatened the development of animal husbandry and the safety of public health. Prompt and accurate diagnosis for brucellosis plays a key role in disease control and eradication. The molecular biological method such as multiplex PCR, real-time quantitative PCR, LAMP and the immunological method including ELISA and GICA, used in the rapid brucellosis diagnosis is reviewed in this article.It is indicated that the lamp method and colloidal gold immunochromatography detection of brucellosis is more suitable for the promotion and use in basic and in immunochromatographic technique for quantitative, high sensitivity, multi marker detection.
