Abstract:To explore the effects of Campylobacter jejuni lipopolysaccharide (Cj-LPS) on Myelin sheath injury in spinal cord, wistar rats were divided into normal control group, lipopolysaccharide group (Cj-LPS), LPS antibody group (Anti-LPS). NC group which mixture of normal saline and complete freund’s adjuvant (CFA). Cj-LPS (composed of LPS, CFA and saline). Cj-LPS and CFA were injected on rats. Hematoxylin and eosin stain (HE stain) was assessed and then rats were sacrificed at 4th week and 6th week. RT-PCR was used to detect the neurotrophic factors 3(NT-3) with its receptor TrkC and neuronal inhibitory factor of NogoA/NgR mRNA expressions. Results indicated Cj-LPS could induce the damage of rats’ myelin sheath injury in spinal cord, decreased the nutrition factor of NT-3/TrkC mRNA expressions and increased the inhibitory factor of NogoA/NgR mRNA expressions. However, the anti-LPS could ameliorate the myelin sheath injury in rat spinal cord induced by Cj-LPS.
