Abstract:ICP4 gene of Alphaherpesvirus is an immediate early gene, and the protein it encode is important for regulation and necessary for virus replication and gene expression. We introduce the transcription activation or inhibition of ICP4, influence on the latent infection of virus, interaction with other proteins and other important functions based on analytical ICP4 structure characteristics, providing the reference for further research on alpha herpes virus replication and gene expression regulation and ICP4 function.
