Abstract:The development of a safe and effective vaccines against Toxoplasma gondii is always the focus of T. gondii research, so it is necessary to widely screening the antigens that may induce host to produce a protective immune response and scientifically evaluate the vaccine candidate antigens scientifically. Therefore, this paper mainly reviews the vaccine candidate antigens with important characteristics such as pathogenicity, immunogenicity and multi-stage effectiveness, to provide more accurate information for finding the best antigens and developing effective vaccines against T. gondii in the future.
