Abstract:In order to establish a rapid diagnosis method for schistosomiasis, the serum from patients and healthy people were applied for testing the stability, repeatability, sensibility, specificity, and cross-reaction response of colloidal gold immunochromatographic assay(GICA).And the results were compared with both of IHA and DIGFA.It's showed that the sensitivity and specificity of GICA was 92.5% and 95.8% respectively and the Youden index was 0.883.There was no significant difference among GICA,IHA and DIGFA(P>0.05) and no cross-reaction with the serum of patients with hepatitis B virus(HBV) was found. All the tests showed good repeatability and reliability in GICA.Results suggested that GICA is a sensitive, specific and stable way to test human schistosomiasis because it is simple, rapid, and could save serum. The new method is applicable for epidemiology investigation and field application of schistosomiasis.
