Abstract:The CT appearance in cases of lung paragonimiasis was characterized in 16 cases confirmed by clinical data in the present study,in which all cases had been underwent through CT scanning, and the CT characteristics of lung paragonomiasis in different clinical period were retrospectively analyzed. In these 16 cases,13 cases showed scattered multiple foci and 3 cases showed single foci. Most of foci were located under pleura. In these cases,11 cases had early diagnosis of infection during the first period; 2 cases demonstrated simple inflammatory infiltration; 4 cases showed inflammatory infiltration with sinus formation and 2 cases with tunnel formation as well as 2 cases with inflammation around bronchi. There were 2 cases who had been found in the cystic stage and 3 cases in the static healing period. It seems that tunnel formation has important value and sinus with halo sign and cavity containing adherent nodules have indicative value in the diagnosis of lung paragonimiasis.
