Abstract:In order to observe the effect of abdenzole, flubendazole, fenbendazole and praziquantel on Ancylostoma caninum eggs, drugs and samples were fully mixed at first and then placed on the filter paper covering the nutrient solid culture medium ,pressing lightly with bamboo stick to make them tightly attached, covered with coordinated lid,and then they were put in the hatching box at 35℃. After hatching for 24 hours, the cultural materials and precipitates were washed out from water under microscopy. It was found that normal development of A caninum larvae could be observed 24 hrs after cultivation in case of the control group, but in case of group treated with albendazole, although the morphologic structure of eggs remained just as the same with those before cultivation, but no development of eggs could be demonstrated. In case of groups treated with flubendazole, fenbendazole or praziquantel, eggs showed cell division,or developed into ovum containing embryo or ovum containing a curling tapeworm. From these observation it is evident that abdendazole shows obvious inhibitory effect on the development of A caninum eggs, less effect observed for flubendazole. On the contrary, fenbendazole and praziquantel appear to have no inhibitory effect on the A caninum egg development.
