Abstract:In this paper,resistance to adult Ixodes sinensis(♀) was investated in rabbits following lmmunization with extracts derived from midgut antigens and egg antigen.The ticks (Ixodes sinensis) infestated the rabbits after immunized 3 times using conventional method; observed the homatophagia and reproduction of Ixodes sinensis of midgut antigen group.egg antigen group.adjurant group and normal group. The results showed that the engorgement weights and egg productiori of midgut antigen group were declined than control group significantly. Most of ticks cannot attached engorgement and the engorgement weight declined 48. 56 % and 54.65 % and egg production declined 52. 8% and 57. 9%. But Ixodes sinensis infested the rabbits using egg antigens,its homatophophegia and reproduction compere with adjurant and normal group have not significantly(P>0. 05 ). This paper indicate that midgut antigens of Ixodes sinensis may induce rabbfts special resistence to ticks and disscue this phenomenon.
