Abstract:In order to study the value of rSj26GSTSj32IgG4ELISA for diagnosis of chronic schistosomiasis, the IgG4 antibodies were observe to detect sera of chronic schistosomiasis with rSj26GSTSj32 fusion protein by rSj26GSTSj32IgG4ELISA and the sera of patients with clonorchiasis sinensis, paragonimiasis westermani, alveolar echinococcosis, cystic echinococcosis, hepatitis B and pulmonary tuberculosis as well as the healthy people were taken as controls. The sensitivity and specificity of this method were 95.00% and 100.00% respectively, and there was no cross reaction with the sera of patients with alveolar echinococcosis, cystic echinococcosis, hepatitis B and pulmonary tuberculosis. The positive predictive value, negative predictive value and efficiency of diagnosis were 100.00%, 95.56% and 97.59%, respectively. It is suggested that rSj26GSTSj32IgG4ELISA could be applied to immunodiagnosis for chronic schistosomiasis.
