Abstract:microRNAs play an important role in innate immunity in animals and plants. Recently, some researchers had found Apicomplexan parasites were able to interfere with expression change of host microRNAs, and then changed host cellular environment. The present paper reviews the latest research advances on expression changes of host microRNAs after infected with Apicomplexan parasites (Toxoplasma gondii, Cryptosporidium parvum and Plasmodium), with the aims of providing references for further studies on parasites.
