Abstract:Evaluation of the performance of the Dengue IgM antibody immuno- chromatography strip (ICS). Two forms of ICS, the general ICS was assembled with combined recombinant antigens(rAg)of four serotypes and the typing ICS was assembled with distinct serotype of rAg, were applied to detect the IgM antibody and typing the infection of virus. The result of the general ICS test coincided well with that of IgM antibody capture ELISA (Mac ELISA) test with 93% overall identity, and two methods showed no significant difference(p>0.05). The ICS showed lower cross-reactivity than Mac ELISA when detected the IgM antibody of other agent infections. The typing strips showed intertype cross-reactivity,except the D1 strip. This study implicates the potential application of the general ICS in laboratorial diagnosis of dengue virus infection, but its efficacy needs further evaluation using large scale of specimens. The typing ICS needs further improvement.
