Abstract:Along with peoples living standard improved, the rates of infection and morbidity of soil-transmitted parasitosis are in declining gradually. In contrast, food-borne parasitosis is of great concern. Thereinto, food-borne trematodiasis is a very important component part. According to WHO statistics, currently food-borne trematodes have more than 100 species to infect human. The number of people infected exceeds 40 million, and 10% of the population is at risk of food-borne trematodes infection. At present, food-borne trematodiases located in intracavity are usually detected by etiology diagnosis methods, but deep tissue entozoic food-borne trematodes are short of effective diagnostic methods. As one of the new methods, loop-mediated isothermal amplification technique has obvious advantages of being easy, rapid, sensitive, specific, economic, practical, popular etc., and is on the trend of replacing traditional PCR. In the domestic academic circles, people actually know less about its understanding and application. Based on its significantly diagnostic value in detection of food-borne trematodes infection, it is worthy to introduce the technique for reference.
