Abstract:In order to analyze the prevalence status of natural focus diseases in China during 1958-2013, the prevalence data in published papers with natural focus diseases in Chinese were collected and extracted for analysis about. Among the selected 1 295 papers published during 1993-2013, 984 were included and 24 reported natural foci diseases were further analyzed. According to spatial analysis, the top reported area was the Central China for natural focus diseases which were followed by the East China, the Southwest China, the Northeast China, the South China, the Northwest China and the Macao Special Administrative Region. Epidemic curve showed a three-stage pattern of natural focus diseases from 1958 till now. Following the first low level stage during 1958-1979, an increase stage was drawn during 1980-1991 and a high prevalence level stage during 1992-2013. Farming, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery were the most influenced occupations of natural focus diseases. Moreover, there was an obvious gender difference. By this study, regional and occupation differences were still the character of natural focus diseases and these diseases should be focused on prevention and control in China because of their widely distribution with high prevalence.
