Determination of a rat plague epidemic in ancient city administrative region of Lijiang, China

Abstract:To determine a rat plague epidemic in ancient city administrative region of Lijiang, China, one of drying selfdead Eothenomys miletus were detected with methods of reverse indirect hemoagglutination inhibition test (RIHA), Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) and realtime PCR (RTPCR). Results showed that the immunological detection, PCR and RTPCR detection to this sample were positive. It was confirmed that a rat plague epidemic occurred in ancient city administrative region of Lijiang.
