Genetic identification and sequene analysis for high-risk group and animals of Anaplasma phagocytophilum infection in some areas of Fujian Province,China

Abstract:To explore the nature infection and gene characteristics of Anaplasma phagocytophilum (A.phagocytophilum) in high-risk groups and animals of Fujian Province, China, blood samples from high-risk groups and animals were collected in Yongchun and Shanghang regions, for which nest polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was used to amplify the fragments of 16s rRNA gene of A. phagocytophilum. In addition, the positive PCR products were sequenced and compared with the corresponding sequences acquired by biological analysis software. The infection rate of ox, goats and dogs in Yongchun region were determined to be 53.85%, 24.71% and 12.50%, and the infection rates of goats and high-risk groups in Shanghang region were 53.06% and 8.33%, respectively. The nucleotide sequence homologies of partial 16s rRNA gene for both the objective and reference sequences concurrently reached up to 97%-100%. It was concluded that A. phagocytophilum was found in some regions of Fujian Province and it should be paid more attention in the following years.
