Situation and characteristics of control and prevention for zoonotic bacterial disease

Abstract:To understand the situation and characteristics of control and prevention for the zoonotic bacterial disease, the literature review and expert meeting were used to discuss and analyse the present situation, the threat facing, foundation and ability, the main problem of the prevention and control about the zoonotic diseases, such as plague, anthrax, brucellosis and so on. Results showed that the harm of the zoonotic bacterial disease increased significantly and brought new problems to the control and prevention of foodborne disease, and some zoonotic bacterial disease reoccurred and new diseases continue to emerge. The monitoring system had been set up perfectly, with isolation and culture of pathogen, detection technology and material reserve capacity for some zoonotic bacterial disease, but the professional who engaged in the diseases reduced significantly, some monitoring programs needed to be adjusted, the shortage of funds for monitoring, lack of corresponding technical reserves in the non-monitoring provinces and medicine and veterinary lack of coordination existed in different degrees. Health education and supervision were not in place and epidemic occurred occasionally due to peeling and eating meat of livestock disease. It is very important to strengthen the construction of laws and regulations and the cooperation among various departments to control the zoonotic bacterial disease effectively.
