Abstract:To analyze the molecular variation characteristics of hemagglutinin and neuraminidase of influenza B virus in Fujian Province in 2016, Fujian flu surveillance data during 2016.1.1 to 2016.12.31 were collected through China’s Disease Prevention and Control Information System. The source of the strain was influenza surveillance influenza like cases in Fujian Province in 2016. Influenza virus (isolated from Madin-Darby canine kidney cell or chicken embryo) nucleic acid was extracted, and the full-length sequences for HA and NA gene fragments were amplified by RT-PCR method and then analyzed. Results showed that the homology of influenza B virus HA, NA fragment sequences from 51 strains with vaccine strain was up to 97.8%-100%. There are 2 reassortment strains (BY-NA/BV-NA) and 1 resistant strains. A new glycosylation in 197 site of HA in Victoria lineage isolates was found by Glycosylation Analysis. It was found that the amino acids of active site of enzyme and related sites around the NA gene were remained highly conserved. In conclusion, in 2016, the minority of influenza B virus strains mutations in Fujian Province were not matched with the vaccine strains.
