Progress in the application of omics technology in Trichinella research

Abstract：Trichinella is a typical food-borne zoonotic parasitic nematode, which is distributed globally without host specificity. It causes substantial economic losses in animal husbandry and severely threatens food safety. In recent years, the application of omics technology has provided an effective means for analysis of the pathogenic mechanism of Trichinella. This review summarizes current research on the applications of genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics in Trichinella, to provide new ideas for further investigation of the growth and development, infection and host immunity of Trichinella and similar parasites.
