| Immune regulation of host epithelial responses to Cryptosporidium parvum infection by MicroRNAs |

Abstract MicroRNAs are key post-transcriptional regulators of gene expression and are involved in the inherent immune of epithelial response to Cryptosporidium parvum infection. Currently, Let-7i, miR-98, miR-27b, miR-513, miR-221, miR-424, and miR-503 have been found to be associated with the inherent immune of epithelial cells to defense C. parvum infection, including the regulation of epithelial cells to defense C. parvum infection, activating the release of exosomes from infected epithelial cells, regulating inflammatory response of biliary epithelial cells, activating the TLR/NF-κB signal pathway and the phosphorylation of enzyme protein, regulating the interaction between epithelial cells and T cells and the stability of iNOS and IL8 mRNA. This review summarizes the mechanism of microRNAs in the regulation of inherent immune responses in host cells associated with C. parvum infection.
